POY - As a member of the jury in the Danish Picture of the Year contest I spent two days in Copenhagen this week going through the best work of Danish photojournalists. This year 190 photojournalists participated with 2844 photos.

The other members of the jury were photo editor at Information Sigrid Nygaard, staff photographer at Jyllands-Posten Lars Krabbe, author Leif Davidsen and former editor in chief of German Geo Christiane Breustedt.

Above Sigrid Nygaard is taking a closer look at some of the entries.

Award ceremony and opening of the exhibition will be in Copenhagen on March 4.

Nominees for Danish Picture of the Year can be seen here.

No Tomorrows

Nightlife - The series No Tomorrows has been uploaded to the site. It contains photos from the Reeperbahn area in Hamburg, Germany. This is the Red Light district where people come to drink and have fun. A big part of the area is dominated by the sex industry with prostitutes and sex shops everywhere.

Check out the photos here.
